Dr Mazur leads on comprehensive ADHD and Autism assessments for both children and adults with and without a co-occurring Intellectual (Learning) Disability. Assessments are undertaken in conjunction with other multi-disciplinary colleagues where appropriate.
Dr Mazur’s clinical practice is informed by recommendations from the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Guidelines. She takes time to get to know each individual, enabling a full understanding of their experiences, strengths and challenges.
Dr Mazur is trained in a number of assessment tools including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO). She is skilled in differential diagnosis as a result of her many years of experience. Dr Mazur’s holistic reports include a clear formulation and recommendations.

- Clinical interview to gather a developmental history
- Direct observation of the person’s communication, interaction and creative skills via the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule
- Review of information from people that know the person well. For children this includes a school observation and discussion with teaching staff
- Screening for emotional and mental health difficulties
- Review of available reports
- Diagnostic discussion
- Feedback meeting
